⚔️ LEGION COMPS IS GOING FULL HOBBY ⚔️
From painting guides and real hobby-desk projects to Fallout, Bolt Action, Konflikt ’47 and our incoming store, Legion Comps is becoming much more than a competition website.
⚔️ LEGION COMPS IS GOING FULL HOBBY ⚔️
A proper update from Lewis and Bob, because there’s a lot happening behind the scenes at Legion Comps…
🎨 FROM THE HOBBY DESK
Lewis has finished repainting Bob’s Logan Grimnar, alongside plenty of other projects—including Iron Warriors, gold armour and some distinctly questionable warp-grown appendages. 😂
Our free Dark Angels and Emperor’s Children Horus Heresy Mk III painting guides are already live, and the Iron Warriors painting guide is coming next.
Because Iron Warriors are still the best. Obviously.
IRON WITHIN. IRON WITHOUT.
🎮 MORE GAMES. MORE PRIZES. MORE HOBBY.
We’re taking Legion Comps beyond one corner of the tabletop world and steadily expanding what we offer.
Coming up, you’ll see:
Modiphius products, including Fallout
More Bolt Action competitions
More Konflikt ’47
New Warhammer prizes—including those new dwarfs coming from GW that have definitely caught our attention 👀
More free painting guides and hobby content
More community projects
A few other things Lewis is currently working on behind the scenes…
The aim is simple: give more hobbyists more reasons to visit Legion, without losing what made us start this in the first place.
🛒 BOB’S BUILDING OUR NEXT BIG THING…
Bob is currently working on the next part of Legion: our own online hobby store.
The plan is to offer:
Brand-new sealed miniature sets
Hobby products and supplies
Professionally pre-painted miniatures
Table-ready models for people who lack the time, don’t enjoy painting or may find painting difficult because of a disability
We want Legion to become a genuine hobby destination—not simply another competition website.
👾 WHY HAS EVERYTHING GONE PIXELATED?
You may have noticed that Legion has gone a little more pixelated recently.
That’s deliberate.
We listened to the comments about “AI slop.” They were blunt, but the underlying point was fair: a hobby business should be showing the real hobby.
We’re moving towards genuine product photographs, official unaltered product imagery, pictures of our own painted miniatures and original work created specifically for Legion.
The pixel-art style is our current look, but it will be part of a changing rotation rather than every post looking identical forever. We want to keep things interesting while giving Legion an identity of its own.
🖌️ ARE YOU A PAINTER OR ARTIST?
Are you a miniature painter, illustrator, graphic designer or pixel artist who fancies some paid hobby work?
Send us a message with some examples of what you do, or email:
hello@legioncomps.co.uk
We’d love to work with more talented people from within the hobby community.
❤️ PLEASE CHECK OUT MINDFUL MINIATURES
Please take a moment to check out Mindful Miniatures and the work they’re doing.
It’s a genuinely worthwhile cause within the hobby community and deserves more attention, so please visit their page, give them a follow and have a look at what they’re building.
Miniatures, creativity, community and helping people—that’s exactly what this hobby should be about.
🎄 SUPPORTING BONDEDFX
We’re also putting together some goodies for Caprice at BondedFX and her charity advent calendars, which are raising money for The ManKind Initiative.
Caprice is also planning a special painting competition for calendar buyers, where entrants will paint one of the included miniatures using supplies from their calendar.
Keep your eyes peeled for more information soon.
We’re building the hobby site we wanted to see:
Real painting. Real products. More games. Useful guides. Community projects. A proper hobby store—and plenty of chances to win something brilliant.
By hobbyists, for hobbyists.
Come and join the Legion. ⚔️
